I Can Feel The Falling Rain

Image
It's 5pm. Icy, windy and dim, Messy hair, Crumbled bedsheet and a deadline in my mind . Scribbling through a notepad for my new story, I am kept awake through the night Isn't caffeine supposed to help?  I could hear the falling rain on my window pane Children playing in the puddles, dew frosted on the grass, Some feeling the damp in the cold air, Others just snuggling up close, Some happy faces coming back from school- it's a rainy day afterall!!! This made me remember my excitement when the notice board said 'classes dismissed'. As cartoons were my rescue, With a warm glass of milk & my favourite cookie Who doesn't like skipping classes once in a while? The sound of gentle breeze made me go for a walk. Grabbing my overcoat along with a book in hand It's quiet but my place. Like a portrait from a colored palette. Like the trees swinging by, Like silver lining, glittery stars all shining bright. Like the gravel pathway and olive paddock  showing me a way, ...

Pitter Patter Little After - MAY DAY, MAY DAY!!!

Image
I have scuba dived into the depths of ocean, paraglided through the wind, walked in the sea bed, rolled downhill zorbing, witnessed a snowfall at Christmas, sandstorm, seen a catacomb, hopped pandals at Durga Pujo and so on.STILL, i have never seen the wrath of nature or thousands of people praying for their lives. This list that I was so proud of proved me wrong. 20.05.2020. (MAY DAY) The day started with the falling rain on my windowpane. Eagerly making me sleep for some more time. 'It's cozy here' I think  until it all goes for a toss. Pending assignments, exams didn't make me give much thought to this impending adversity. Suddenly the gentle breeze turned into a storm. Leaving our lunch midway we started closing the windows. There were sparks all the time. I have never witnessed such a catastrophe ever before. I have seen these in movies -buildings collapsing, rooms being flooded with water, no electricity, no network, no water and for some people no roof over their he...

THE SPARK

Image
THE SPARK This was her first Sesolahan, Standing behind the curtains, she quickly memorized it again, It's captivating to see how a body works A treat to your heart, a trick to your soul, 'Masukkan Sita' - he shouts out loud The Conch resonated her beauty, standing by her, Her cold feet pacing towards the raging fire, . . . The scene ended, only to continue tomorrow, But the little girl, Found it so hard to believe Her make belief world had no room for evil Finding solace in reminiscence is always so hard, She remembered her mother and shead a drop of tear, 'Hurry' her friends insisted as all  posed for a picture With a smile so big  As she performed so well, Little did she realize... . . . CRIMSON NIGHT

Image
It was a crimson night then, taking its most gory form Deja vu- I have lived this time and again, The colour of her lips holding some lilac , Calming as the winds maybe, it stirs some hope... Hoping to see her again on a windy crimson night.      I wake up all alone living it again, The vows of breathing for her even when she is drowning,                                      Letting go comes at a cost, calling forever not mine. I make up a story in my head. A make belief to be true. I hold her hand, I see a stain on her cheek, Its crimson, yet so pale  Her eyes sparkling, yet so blue Her body reaching out to me, yet so stiff. . . . It was a crimson night THEN... Long ago back then... Follow  me on instagram    @_ber...

YOU SNOOZE YOU LOOSE...

Image
YOU SNOOZE YOU LOOSE... The alarm shows us the day has begun. Snoozing says that i can still control it. We can all admit it's WAY more  SATISFYING, . . . . To sleep past the deadline,it's double the trouble and way more fun. Calculating my attendance to the optimal time required to reach to my college, it's a brainstorm!! Snoozing over ten times means no leisure walk with a cup of latte at the bus stop or stockpiling chewing gums before you enter college(I need that to be awake in a class) . Insta feed, Whatsapp, memes are all reserved for the bus. Staring at my watch, blaming my life, wishing to buy a jet plane that's how my day starts. It's like playing a quiz in my mind and guessing on my own. Will the professor let me in or not? Now what if we could trick time to be still! What if? . . . . . What if we could always keep our phones charged? No more running out of money for subscribing to netflix? No more waxing? Holding onto a moment? No aging? It all sounds mar...
